About

My story.

The short version.

I'm Mikhail. Most people call me Mike. I'm a student, and I build AI agent systems that I actually live with every day.

It started the way it probably started for you: the first time an AI chatbot gave me an answer that genuinely surprised me. The difference is I couldn't leave it there. I wanted to know how far this goes, and reading about it wasn't enough. So I started building.

Today an always-on agent runs parts of my week. It plans, delegates to specialist agents, and reports back from its own server, including while I sleep. I built the tools I study with: spaced-repetition flashcards, case simulators, a tracker that starts my mornings. When I want to learn something about AI now, I build something with it.

Along the way I spent a week at a Microsoft office researching a question I keep coming back to: schools pay for AI tools, and students barely touch them. Why that happens, and what would fix it, is the problem I care about most.

I have participated in five hackathons since September 2026, including first place in the Pydantic side challenge. I founded and lead an AI society at my college that meets weekly to build projects. I conduct AI research on open-source models and have one paper under peer review and one draft. I build with Claude Code, an AI tool that writes the code at my direction. You can see this work on my projects and research pages.

On 1 September 2026 I started A-levels in Computer Science, Physics and Maths in Cambridge, UK, on an academic scholarship. Everything I learn along the way lands in short daily breakdowns on Instagram. My newsletter with the tools and prompts that survived my testing is not ready yet.

Away from a keyboard: chess and basketball.
